It's been a long afternoon

...hubby got a shot today {routine at the end of each round of chemo}, then we met up with some friends from out of town for breakfast {which was so very much needed!}...then home and more job shopping. Got a call back from interview #2 so that is set up for Wednesday...but for the time being, it was walking around the mall, in and out of stores asking for jobs....jamba was needed after an afternoon like that

...went to Laguna Beach today, ate at a quaint little patio restaurant, I had the shrimp salad, hubby had the burger/fries meal...yummy!

Last day of chemo for the month! Compared to the last one, this has been a smooth ride!!

We're not worried though, we're just kickin the crap out of this chemo and then we're done!! 3 more rounds!

Today, I have an interview #1 for a job as event planner/marketing specialist...

Today is also the last day of chemo for the month! Pictures to come...

Post walk exhaustion

This is a shot of hazel, looking down on her after our daily walk to the beach {I say TO because she is carried ON the beach...so she only walks to the beach}...i'm on the bed, and she's whining to be picked up onto the bed because she's too tired to jump...poor little legs are exhausted

Morning walk

Morning walks here aren't too bad...let's see we walk down the golf course, through the St Regis, to the beach, then up through the Ritz, through a park, and then home! It's beautiful walking through the hotel ground, usually they're setting up for a beautifully fabulous wedding {like in the movies...only real life}, and the beach is always wonderful...watching the surfers try and try again. I love it here

It's just been one of those days

Do you ever have those days that you don't get off your computer?? And there's so much to do that you and your hubby BOTH have your computers out doing work?? Yep...just that kind of day

Chris' present

So the people we're staying with {wonderful people!!}, the husband is a pilot and brought Chris a present after a week of flying...puke bags!! Hahaha one of the best presents he's ever received!!

It's a saltine cracker kind of day

My hubby...toughest guy I know!

Today is the consequence of choosing chemo :) it's like when you don't sleep one night, the next day you feel totally fine, but it's the day after that that you start feelin' it. Well, yesterday was fine! Today has been a little rougher around the edges, but he doesn't complain. Just kept eatin those saltine's and now he's feelin fine again.

Who can do that?! "I think I'll start feelin better now"...after chemo. Yep, he's amazing.

Gardener? Or Mexican mustache?

...sitting outside today basking in the sun with hazel...she snuck behind me for what i swear was just two seconds {being super quiet about it}. I turn around to find a hazel ostrich, with her head in a hole she had just dug. So...my question remains, "gardening or sticking on her Mexican mustache?" you decide...

Hazel's so sad

She gets so sad when he gets out of the car {even if it's for a quick run to the store} that she curls up on his seat to wait for him.

This is a good day...last day of the end of cancer! It's also a long day...4 hours of chemo and no tv...what shall we do?!
